Best Strategy: keep your 'eye on the prize' of 4 aces with a 2, 3, or 4 as fifth card that pays out 2000 coins--halfway to a Royal.

This generous payday will occur approx. every 16,000 hands.

Pairs of Aces, 2's, 3's and 4's should be held for higher returns.

Warning: some casinos will lower the full-house/flush payout to 9/5 or the horrible 8/5 that should be avoided.

Also note that a straight is lowered to 20 coins max. return vs. 25 coins for Double Bonus 10/7 versions.

Although, this is another popular VP version, do keep in mind that the total payback of 98.98% is not as high as Double Bonus 10/7 VP discussed in Part 2 Bonus VP Versions article.

Following is a full-pay Triple Bonus 11/7 paytable with a strategy alert.

The table illustrates the payout for specific winning hands, one coin return payout and maximum coin return payout.

Pay Schedule - Triple Bonus Poker. 11/7

Four-of-a-kind (quad) 2's, 3's, or 4's.

1200 coins

Straight flush (SF) (in sequence, same suit)

pays 50-1

250 coins

Royal flush (RF) (except with max. coins)

pays 250-1

4000 coins

Best Strategy: note the higher payouts for quads, therefore hold/discard accordingly.
Warning: minimum payout is for Kings or Better, so toss single queens or jacks not suited. A five-card discard will be implemented frequently here.

Again, the straight max. pay is reduced to 20 coins and some Triple pay schedules offer 50 coins for full house.

These changes make for a good argument for scanning the entire pay schedule before you decide to play.

The total payback percentage for Triple Bonus Poker is 99.99%.

Total overall payouts for above versions is maintained with maximum coins in play at a 'full-pay' machine with perfect strategy.

I will return soon with Aces and Faces VP information.

Until then, may all your VP choices turn out to be 'royalty'.
